My Personal Belief System
So, I told you I wouldn't attach mysticism or religion to any of the ideas and information I share with you on this site. And I won't.
That said, I do have a personal basis of faith that everything I believe is founded on and I thought you might want to know where I'm coming from.
I'm a Christian and I believe in God and I believe God. For me, everything we have and everything we are is because of Him and from Him. His laws are what all these healing modalities are based on and what makes them possible. I believe that most, if not all, of the things you'll learn about on this website were "discovered" by people who were inspired by God to figure out how to relieve suffering and enable physical and emotional healing. I don't believe they were "invented" by man, but given by God to His children to bless them. I also believe that the healing practices I have used have been placed in my path in answer to prayer. They have blessed my life, and the lives of my family and friends, and I share them with you in the hopes that they will bless your life, too. Every success that I have had in helping to facilitate healing in myself or others is a direct result of God's direction in my life. No healing practice I use comes from my own ingenuity or invention. Every gift I have and every inspired action I take comes from God and I give all the credit to Him.
And that's the extent to which my personal faith will be reflected in this website. I don't believe it's necessary to attach religious explanations to healing practices. I also don't think we need religious convictions or understanding in order to apply them. I have no negative feelings toward any faith or belief system. You don't have to believe the same thing I do in order to use or benefit from the information on this website. And you can feel free to substitute whatever words you want for words I use that do not align with your personal belief system. I'll try to keep them to a minimum so you don't have to work too hard. Don't throw out the baby with the bathwater! Take what you can use and frame it in whatever way is meaningful to you. I'm sure I will refer to God, from time to time, but it will be in the broad context of His gifts to us, not in a specific religious context. I believe that truth is truth regardless of where we find it and we can find some truth in just about any religion or belief system that exists.
I understand that some people wish to frame holistic healing practices within their Judeo-Christian religious beliefs, as that was part of my path, and I welcome questions about this, so feel free to contact me if you'd like help in this area.
