Prescription for Nutritional Healing is basically considered the "bible" of nutrition and supplement information. Organized like a dictionary, in alphabetical order of conditions, you can look up any area of concern from acne to worms and get a full description of the condition, followed by a list of recommended vitamins and minerals in the order of priority, so you can decide how far you want to go with it. You will also find a list of herbs and other supplements commonly used, as well as short discussions of other things to take into consideration and additional holistic healing modalities that can be helpful. This book will replace a whole bookshelf of books individually discussing these separate areas of focus, and should be everyone's first resource. I keep one copy upstairs and another one downstairs for quick reference! This book is in its fifth edition for a reason and has stood the test of time for accurate, helpful information. Many health food stores maintain a reference copy for their customers' use. Highly recommended.

Wellness Resources – Byron Richards is the author of Mastering Leptin and the creator of Wellness Resources. He is a board certified clinical nutritionist with well over 20 years experience in the field. His website is high quality and easy to navigate. Every supplement is described in detail with every possible piece of information you could possibly want to know on every product. Richards explains which form of each vitamin or mineral is used and why. I have had good personal experience with his products and he has good sales and prompt service. Customer support is excellent and if you need to ask questions, the representatives are extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
Life Extension – If you’ve read Suzanne Somers’ books, you’ve heard of the Life Extension Foundation. In addition to its self-appointed position as FDA watchdog, Life Extension and its founder, Bill Falloon, provides its members with up-to-date information on strategies to improve quality of life, as well as supplements based on this information. Members of the organization receive a substantial discount on LE products, as well as access to wellness experts who are trained to help members choose the best supplements AND coordinate holistic health measures with doctor-prescribed regimens they may be following. First-time members also receive an extremely thorough, 1666-page book, Disease Prevention and Treatment – Scientific Protocols that Integrate Mainstream and Alternative Medicine, as well as a monthly magazine with updates on the latest research in healthy living, easily worth the cost of membership right there (yearly renewals of $75 are rewarded with a $95 credit toward orders of Life Extension products!). Their extended services include a compounding pharmacy with competitive pricing. I found them to be less expensive than my local compounding pharmacy. Life Extension Mix, a comprehensive multi-vitamin and mineral supplement including beneficial herbs, is really helpful for my husband and daughter and is available in tablets, capsules, and powder in a variety of formulas.

Their bodies respond well to it and they’re way more apt to take an all-inclusive supplement like this, where they don’t have to take multiple supplements from multiple bottles. Life Extension also makes blood testing available and offers a special yearly sale on blood tests. This allows members to order just the blood tests they desire (or their doctor has asked for), pre-pay, then just take the lab order into their local LabCorp to get the work done. Results are sent directly to you (or wherever you designate) and LEF representatives are available to help you understand and apply the results. Joining Life Extension is also one of the best first things you can do, to receive relevant, up-to-date information on health and what's going on the in the medical and health industries. The fact that you are supporting the great work the organization does is an added benefit. Regular annual membership costs $75.00, but LEF is allowing me to make a special introductory price of $45.00 available to my website readers.
